From the Youngstown Vindicator:

A Youngstown Steelhound hockey player was seriously burned Thursday evening when the lawn mower that he was riding exploded.

Jason Baird, 27, of Cayuga, Ontario, was cutting grass for a part-time employer at the Westchester apartment complex near the intersection of Route 11 and Mahoning Avenue when the accident occurred.

He is listed in critical condition at the Akron Burn Center.

If the Komets can get both Legault and Curadeau 2-ways for next season that would be great. I know Mathieu played a few AHL games last season for Worcester.

I think I have the “Perfect” name. How about the The Komet
“K-man” as in Kanman. Since we have spelled comet wrong for years (like forever). What is wrong with spelling canman with a “K”? I like it anyway. Great idea for a fund raiser and you couldn’t pick a better cause.

When a player gets paid one rate in the AHL and another in a lower league, or if a player signs with an AHL team and gets sent down, he has to go to a select lower level team that has his rights.
