Komets clinch a playoff spot

With today’s point against Quad City, the Komets have 88 points and the most Richmond can get is 88, but the Komets own the tiebreaker. This is the 29th time over the last 31 seasons that the Komets have made the playoffs.

    I really, really wish we could of put Quad City away…Tapp was the only diffrence in the game…that guy makes me sick

    He is one of the best “money goaltenders” in this league. 3 out of 6 points on the road isn’t awful considering the travel and the fact the they were shorthanded all weekend. I think most of us thought they didn’t have much of a prayer today. I got home in time for the last 4 minutes of the game but it seemed that the effort was there despite how tired they must have been.

    I was pleasantly surprised that they played as well as they did. But don’t tell any mallards fans what you just said, they will say you are making excuses why the Komets lost…
