Is it my imagination

October 26, 2006

Or were the Scoop Guys throwing it a lot higher last week. Gulp! That means I have to pay more attention between periods. Either they’ve been working out or the stuff they are throwing just gots a lot further.

    Can you say STEROIDS???? 😉

  2. Hit Somebody!!! Says:

I’ve seen better arms on Lazy Boy Chairs….LOL

    But nice topic.

  3. Burgee Says:

Ya, they were pumped. ok boys, aim at 403 tomorrow night, wouldn’t mind a little ice cream dessert to go with my pulled pork dinner. Suey, suey, suey, suey.

By the numbers, Adam Fish called another good game tonight and QC beat the expansion team, barely.

  4. Tony E Says:

Fish will not be in this league by next season.

  5. Brandon Says:

I completly agree about Fish, he’s too good for this league…sadly. Also, i’ve been sitting 5 rows from the glass in section 213 for 2 years now and i’ve yet to get a scoop…is 5 rows too much to ask for?!?

  6. imsmithkaiser Says:

Hey, I would like to know what they have against sections on the even side. There are kids that scream!!!! for them and they still seem to ignore them. Favorites we aren’t. Just a thought keep it even for EVERYONE. So all can take a chance in winning something.

  7. Teresa Says:

I feel for you, Brandon. I sit in row 3, section 215 and never get a scoop either. They can’t show off with us being that close. They’d prefer to make those long throws to wow the crowd.

  8. Jungle Monkey Says:

Losen the purse strings and go buy your kid some ice cream!

  9. hobo Says:

    really its what $2.75?

  10. Greg Says:

Those nets seem to be problems for those guys though. They can get those bags up into the 600’s but not over the net, come on boys????

  11. Jungle Monkey Says:

I’ll pay $8.00 to park because I’m lazy, but that ice cream is just overpriced!…lol

  12. hobo Says:

yah i had a talk with them about the nets….and suprisingly a scoop landed right beside my lil boy (behind the net) but i was out payin $2.75 for some ice cream so i didnt get it….why would someone pay $8 to park

  13. Tony E Says:

And people got mad at Blake for saying fans in Fort Wayne are cheap….. 😉

  14. Greg Says:

Just saw where Daniel Lejung is playing in Findlay Ohio, in the HEHL. I’ve read about that league. The players make somewhere between $30-$100 a week. I thought Lejung had a teaching or coaching job at Culver Military Acadamy?

  15. Greg Says:

Sorry, that should say NEHL. Blake, the team Daniel’s playing one is reportedly onwed by two guy from Ft. Wayne.

  16. scoops Says:

If you want to assure yourself at least a throw or two in your direction….make a target. That is a lock to get some throws.

Blake…you are really guarded up there with all the speakers and lights hanging near you. Going to take the perfect combination of height and distance to spill your beer.

  17. Tony E Says:

Scoops…if you look up at the press box Blake already has a target…on the top of his head you will see a shiny spot…..
    ok….running now…….. ;-0

  18. Greg Says:

Can’t hit that target because it blinds you.

    Oops…right behind you Tony…:-o

  19. blake Says:

Just don’t bring it here and say it’s fact when you haven’t read it here. I was straight with you guys all along that guys would have to go on IR — even if they weren’t injured. That’s part of the game, but don’t try to convince me anybody actually bought it.

  20. Burgee Says:

Target will be in use tonight.

FORT WAYNE, Indiana — Rockford Icehogs smell up arena shortly after arriving today for game with Komets, Rockford Coach Martinson was seen complaining to bus driver because he didn’t pull close enough to arena entrance, shortly thereafter was caught complaining that 60 W light bulbs were being used in locker room instead of 100 W. I’m sure there will be more to follow…….

  21. Sniper Says:

Nice job with this post Blake…but while we are complaining about thing like the new goal song and not getting a scoop, I would like to voice my complaint as well. I’ve been going to games for years and have never gotten a T-Shirt from Icy or that darn football thrown at me. And I especially have never gotten one of those coupons dropped from the blimp. But I guess that’s alright sense I am really there to see a hockey game.

A scoop guys work is never done!

  22. blake Says:

And another thing, I’ve never caught a puck to the side of the head either! (No matter how much it seems that way at times!) What’s up with that!?!?!? I feel cheated. LOL.

  23. Hoss Says:

Maybe we should all stay home and then we would have nothing to crap about!!!

Since when did every fan need to get a scoop? Or a t-shirt? Or like the songs played?

Buy an ice cream, get a shirt, and watch the game!!!

    Go Get the PIGGIES!!!!

  24. blake Says:

Like that would make any difference as far as people griping.

  25. Tony E Says:

Well, why can’t the scoop guy throw something up to Michigan for me? I feel left out!?!?! 😦

  26. Sniper Says:

That was my point exactly Hoss!
