I wanted to let Pat, Randi and Tim know that I enjoyed the broadcasts and highlights often shown here in this forum.

They always did a professional presentation and it was obvious that they really enjoyed what they were doing.

I think it would be cool if a DVD could be made showing some of the highlights from some of the games they did over the past 20 years. There have been some really interesting games over the years…..maybe make it a DVD set.

Again, Thanks for some wonderful memories.

    I agree…….

Why can’t they find a few other people to do it? I’m sure there are plenty of people around town that could fill in those spots.

It’s not that easy. Part of it is the camera set up for the new coliseum scoreboard is going to go where they used to broadcast from. Another part is finding the equipment to do it, not to mention the skill. As for the DVD sets, there isn’t enough money in it compared to the tremendous amount of work it would take. Look at all the people who illegally tried selling copies of Game 7 over the summer. There’s also the Komets who own the rights, and the library which owns the tapes, and all that would have to be worked out. It’s highly unlikely.

I will miss the “Game of The Week” replays. I especially like the end of season marathons that public access does once or twice a year. I would like to thank Tim, Pat, and Randy for their time and efforts over the years. Komets Nation will certainly miss you.

Blake, I was wondering if the equipment for the new scoreboard system might be placed in that part of the press box.

I agree, the DVD thing would be neat, but very unlikely to occur because of the issues you mentioned…..but it would still be a really cool item.

It definitely would be awesome for us geeks. LOL. Funny, though, how the video never matches up with what I remember seeing it live. I think the video must be flawed because I know my memory is 100 percent sharp.

    What we were talking about?

These old games are the type of things that should be uploaded to the internet. I know it would take a while to do, but what a way to keep up with the times while showing off the Fort Wayne Komets to the world.

I agree, I would love to see the entire slate of 88 IHL Komet games.
