Opening ceremonies

October 18, 2008

Wow, were those something. The Komets did a great job with the introduction of the team, the moment of silence for Rob Guinn and Hartley MacLeod, the presentation of the championship rings and the raising of the banner.

I especially liked the way the Memorial Coliseum shut down the scoreboard advertising during the ceremonies. That was a classy touch. I also liked how they stopped using the middle running script under the video and above the statistics. That was a very nice improvement.

The replays seemed to be working much better tonight than the did during the exhibition season as well.

New board looks great on B2, but too much cutting away from the action on B2. They have different angles and such..Kudos to the Colisum for making this change. They just have to get use to their new toy

I think it’s great that they took away that middle Ad on the board. Makes a world of difference IMO and I’m at peace.
